November 2012 - Spread A Little Joy was featured on the Kansas City Live television show to talk about the origins of the foundation and how others can get involved:
November 2012 - Local firefighters hosted a benefit for one of their own who was battling cancer: Jerry "Kong" Bayton. Spread A Little Joy was there to support the Bayton family and present them with something special: a paid trip for the family to Branson and vip tickets to a Mizzou game of their choice.
October 2012 - The Spread A Little Joy crew didn't let a little (torrential) rain stop them from all turning out for an OctoberFest parade. This was also the debut of our first float!
August 2012 - Spread A Little Joy hosted a booth at the annual "Hot Summer Nights" festival in Smithville, Missouri, where kids could get their faces painted and the adults could learn more about our cause.
February 2012 - Partnering with the community and Smithville High School, Spread A Little Joy hosted a taco dinner benefit for the local Marmet family.
October 2011 - Spread A Little Joy together with The Julia Bargman Hope Foundation held our first awareness open house event at the beautiful Ladoga Ridge Winery
in Smithville, Missouri. Guests enjoyed wine tastings, gourmet cupcakes
donated by Cupcakes That Care, and took home great prizes from our
raffle!
